The spirit of the law

Marie Monnet sees law not simply as a technical tool, but as a space for intellectual confrontation and societal transformation. She has taken part in numerous conferences and publications on subjects such as :

  • Sovereignty and new forms of legal governance,
  • The impact of technological change on legal regulation,
  • The tension between economic rights and the protection of fundamental freedoms,

Marie Monnet draws on the great thinkers of law and political philosophy - from Francisco de Vitoria to Hannah Arendt, via Emmanuel Levinas and René Girard - to shed light on current issues and mobilize innovative litigation strategies.

The right to act

In an ever-changing world, where the balance of power is constantly being redrawn, the law is much more than a normative framework: it is a lever for action, a tool for defense and a driving force for transformation. In the face of legislative changes, new regulations and societal challenges, a demanding and enlightened legal practice not only protects rights, but also anticipates change and influences future balances.

Law is more than just a body of rules: it is a language that structures human relationships, an instrument of justice and a forum for dialogue between individuals, institutions and nations. Its interpretation and application shape freedoms, frame responsibilities and guarantee the balance between legality and legitimacy.

Defend, enlighten, anticipate: this is the vision that guides a legal practice rooted in history and resolutely focused on the future. It's an approach that doesn't simply apply the law, but questions its meaning, clarifies its implications and works to ensure that it evolves to better meet contemporary challenges.
